Common questions about Gong
Is Gong GDPR-compliant?
That depends on more than the tool: the data processing agreement, where the data is stored, the legal basis and how call participants are informed. According to Gong, data is stored in the US by default; new customers can choose an EU data centre. If you use Gong, settle the storage location before signing and review it with your data protection officer.
Which Gong alternatives host in Germany?
Providers hosting in Germany include Klarruf (EU-hosted in Frankfurt), Kickscale (EU hosting in Germany) and Bliro (servers in the EU, currently Frankfurt am Main). The biggest difference is how a call gets into the tool: Kickscale uses a notetaker bot and integrations, Bliro transcribes live without a bot, and Klarruf analyses existing recordings you upload.
What does Gong cost?
Gong does not publish prices. According to gong.io/pricing, the price is a per-user licence plus a platform fee, quoted through a form. Klarruf publishes its prices: Team at €79 per seat per month, €63 billed annually, plus a free plan without a credit card.
Does Gong use call data to train AI?

Does Klarruf record meetings automatically like Gong?
No. Klarruf sends no bot into meetings. You upload existing recordings (MP3, M4A, WAV, MP4), for example from your dialer. Gong records through integrations, including a Gong bot that joins as a virtual meeting participant.
